Have them make my wedding cake in 2004 in their food is just as good now as it was then. Our cake topper lasted an entire year in the freezer and still tasted as good as it did the day of our wedding
I ordered this cake for my birthday yesterday. And asked for a strawberry shortcake with whipped cream icing. And I asked for an image on top of the cake. They nailed the image even after saying it may not be possible. Which I was thrilled about.

This was my first and last time ordering from Cakes by David.
However jump to last night after a week of waiting for my birthday to arrive. And anticipating something amazing! I taste the cake. Who makes a strawberry shortcake with angel food cake? I was incredibly disappointed! I'm positive I said a vanilla cake, for my strawberry shortcake. Because I cannot stand angel food cake! Not only that but there was barely any icing so it was incredibly dry and barely had a taste.
I was explained that what their dirt cake was made up was. What I got was not what I wanted. I ordered a 1/4 dirt cake made up with white cake with oreo crushed up ,brown sugar for patches and gummy worms. White cake was barely 1 inch high and had a cast of yellow to it. Someone may have left some egg yoke into the batter. The icing was Brown which was thinly spread on and HAD NO FLAVOR AT ALL. On top of cake was maybe 1/4 tsp oreo finely crashed crumb which was sprinkled across 1/4 sheet cake. When you looked at the cake you couldn't see it so you didn't know what it was supposed be as a decoration. There was 1/8 brown sugar was sprinkle across the top of cake - didn't known what the sugar was to represent in decoration of the cake. The cake did have 4 gummy worms. I was very upset. To me, my birthday dirt cake for my daughter was made out of ingredients that they had was almost gone. Instead of getting new ingredients, they just the little bit they had. I paid 25 dollars for this cake which was a lesson learned. I will never get a cake from Cakes by David never again
