I was looking for a family therapist on the Eastern Shore, and called Chesapeake Counseling Center on a Friday to see if they had any availability. I spoke with a receptionist who said that someone from their intake would call me back right away. On Monday, the intake person called and took down all my information, and told me that Dr. Weaver had availability and they would have to check his calendar and let me know by that Friday. After a few days, I decided to call to check up, as I realised that waiting 7 days to find out if someone was even free to see me, seemed a little long. I left a message but didn't hear back. I called a few times on Friday, and left messages, and didn't hear back. I called once more on Friday afternoon, and the phone rang once and went to VM, leading me to think that someone was silencing my call on a cell phone. This was several weeks ago and I still have heard nothing from this office. Very unprofessional, especially considering the sensitive nature of their business.
