Rude, no offer to assist and nothing to offer me as compensation. I have been in the hospitality industry for years and do understand mistakes can happen, however how a company deals with these mistakes, by making an effort to assist, can either make or break a customers opinion of their service and reputation. I don't even know how they're still in business, I 100% would NOT recommend. I really wish I could leave 0 stars. I booked a truck 4 days ahead of time and when I went to pick it up the lady at Burnett white told me, with no remorse or explanation, that there are no trucks available and then walked away. So a confirmation is really more of a "good luck". My card was charged and I was emailed a confirmation, for absolutely no reason. I needed a truck right away after this happened and thankfully uhaul pulled some strings to get me one, and they even beat budget's price by 10%!
I ask calmly what do they suggest I do and all I get is a mere shrug of the shoulders. I was told by this Budget representative that customers should always call them directly to verify they ACTUALLY have a truck available.
Booked a truck, received a confirmation #, arrive to pick up and I am very coldly told they don't have a truck for me. No more is said to me. I explain I have a confirmation number, just drove three hours to move my son out of his house after graduating, and don't understand why they don't have a truck for me.
