Staff is friendly and acknowledge's my son and I as we are regulars. The animals are well taken care of. My hyper-active son will sit for hours in the Kitty City having cats laying on and around him. Everyone at the shelter was very nice when I took my cat to be neutered. However, the woman didn't hear me when I told her twice that my cat didn't have his rabies vaccine and would need one (which I was told on the phone was not a problem) and had to call me at work, and they gave me pain medicine when I picked him up, which was a concern for me because none of my other animals have ever needed pain medication upon being neutered or spayed. The place could stand to be cleaned up and painted, but being mostly donation based, I can understand why they haven't been able to.
Good place to adopt from, I've never personally adopted from here but my wife and I come here to give the pups some attention.

For those complaining about a $150 adoption fee, please keep in mind that this includes spaying/neutering, vaccines, health exams, and certain medications. A standard vet visit will cost more than that on an annual basis. If you cannot afford this fee, you should reconsider pet ownership. Even "free" animals need health care, food, grooming and boarding. This is basic pet ownership.
